The Church Inn is currently closed.
We have now been given the go ahead by the local authority and have started refurbishment and restoration work to ensure this characterful and grade II listed pub is restored beyond any ‘former glory’.
We would expect to spend 6 weeks on the restoration so opening towards the middle of June 2013.
The Church Inn will sit as the ‘sister’ pub to our other lovely pub in Mobberley, the Bulls Head situated in Mill Lane, www.thebullsheadpub.co.uk The Church Inn will be differentiated from the Bulls Head in the main, giving us another style of pub operation to complement the village of Mobberley and surrounding towns and cities.
We hope to add some bedrooms to the pub in the future but the first phase of work will be creating an atmospheric country inn with small intimate dining rooms.
The menus will be focused on lunches and suppers and the wine list will be wider reaching. The aim is to offer a different experience to our wonderful Bulls Head and ensure Mobberley has two fantastic pubs famous for their people, their food, their drink and of course the differing occasions they offer.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused because of the closure but please do visit Mobberley and our Bulls Head pub.
We have two other pubs in Cheshire….The Three Greyhounds Inn www.thethreegreyhoundsinn.co.uk in Allostock near Knutsford and Holmes Chapel and the Cholmondeley Arms www.cholmondeleyarms.co.uk near Malpas. We look forward to seeing you soon.
